People are saying…

By the time the service had finished, we knew that this was the church for us.

Bidford Baptist Church has helped me and my family and my work community towards a trusting relationship with hope. There’s not much better than that.

@theBarn

The Barn — at the top of Waterloo Road, near Friday Furlong — is Bidford Baptist Church’s new home, and we’re moving there on 12 February 2012. Our Sunday morning service is 10:30.

Until the end of January, we continue to meet at the Crawford Hall, opposite Budgens, on Salford Road.

The first weekend in February we are away at our Church Weekend. There are still places available. That means that there will be no service in Bidford on the first Sunday in February.

The story so far

We started in 2005 at Bidford on Avon’s Crawford Hall with 20 people.

By 2011 we had grown to 150, and there was no longer a public building in the village big enough for us, so we started looking for a new home.

Very sadly, round the same time, Bungo’s Barn, an indoor playground loved by lots of Bidford children, had to close down.

We talked to the owners, and to the Parish Council and the planners, and, finally, on 6 January 2012, we took possession of the building. The play barn was in a fairly good state, so we are working quickly to deorate it and get it ready. We intend to hold our first Sunday Service there on 12 February 2012.

Because we loved Bungo’s Barn, and because it was so well known, we decided to stick with the name The Barn for the building.

Just in case you’re wondering, it isn’t an old barn which has been converted, but a modern unit which will soon be spick and span and just right for us.

We hope it will be just right for you as well. We want to extend you a very warm welcome to a church which is vibrant, alive, relevant, and here for everyone.

Bidford Baptist — a growing church.
