  • theBarn operates on both floors, with the first floor only accessible via the single staircase located in the front entrance lobby.
  • theBarn makes reasonable adjustments to provide access to services and events. However, the physical limitations and design of the building does not provide adequate or safe provision for a stair or through floor lift to access the first floor.
  • From time to time, theBarn holds outdoor events on the generally level, grassed area to the left-hand elevation of the building. Access to this area is gained from the forecourt parking area and involves a small transition from the hard to the soft landscaping.

 Arrival & Parking Facilities

  • The site is accessed by both vehicular and pedestrian traffic off Waterloo Road, through a double-width gated entrance set back from the public footpath.
  • There are 4 designated disabled spaces available within the car park and they are within 30m of the Accessible Entrance.
  • The main part of the car park has a hard surface; the rear spaces are on a mixture of gravel and chippings. Surfacing of the disabled car parking spaces is concrete.
  • For Sunday morning services and other key events, the car parking is managed by a volunteer team.

  • There is hard flooring in the main circulation areas at the rear of the room, with the seating area covered with close-cropped carpet tiling. Acoustically, there is little sound damping.

  • There is limited natural light and ceiling inset lights in theHub
