Sunday Mornings
Our main meeting of the week is our Sunday morning service. The service starts with our first song, just before 10.00, after which the service host will let you know what's going to be happening that morning, and, particularly, let parents know where and when their kids will be going. Then we sing a few more up-tempo songs, perhaps with some interaction for our many wriggly kids! Then we have our announcements slot. Sometimes we have communion (this is fairly relaxed, so just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine), a baby dedication or a special feature of some sort.
After the announcements the kids go to their age-related activities (Babies from 0-18 months in thePod and Pre-School downstairs in theLaunchPad, theBarn Kids from Reception to Year 4, upstairs to theBaseCamp, and Years 5-6 upstairs to theSummit). If in doubt, ask the Welcome Team or follow the crowd!
We then have a time of extended singing, quieter, more reflective worship after which the teenagers (aged 11-16) head upstairs for their session.
The preached message is usually about 30-35 minutes in length. We aim to make this as interesting, challenging and practical as possible. There are usually outline sheets to fill in. After the message there is usually some kind of response time, usually a little more singing and the opportunity for those who want it to receive prayer.
After the service we serve tea and coffee, and people are free to mill around and chat. Please stay as long as you like!
