Church Plans for Sunday 27 June

THIS SUNDAY, we’re intending to run our current socially-distanced, Covid-regulation-compliant plan of a live-streamed service at 10, with kids and youth groups outside. Last week the weather was rather unsettled, and the youth ended up meeting inside. But the younger ones were happy enough on their beanbags in the marquee! Apologies that we had a problem with our live-stream feed, too; hopefully all will be working according to plan this week.

LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT WEEK: The aim is to hold an outdoor service next Sunday. Under current regulations, we are allowed to sit in groups of up to 30, and are even permitted to sing! The service will start at the later time of 11 am, out of courtesy to our neighbours, and will last about an hour. It will be family-friendly and we’ll even be sharing communion! We’ll provide the seats; you just need to book-in in the usual way. I’m confident this will be a lot of fun!

Back to this Sunday, here are all the details you’ll need if you want to join us, either onsite or online:

ADULTS

  • For those unable to come in person, the SUNDAY SERVICE will be going out as a live-stream, starting at 10.00 am. The direct link is https://youtu.be/Z9O9Kc0uNUA. If for any reason that link doesn’t work, or if you’re watching on a smart TV, open YouTube and search for theBarn Bidford. To book in to attend the service in person, please email booking(at)thebarn.org.uk by Friday evening.

KIDS & PRE-SCHOOL

  • The primary-aged groups (theBasecamp & theSummit) will be meeting in or around the marquee at 10.00 am. Please bring your children straight to the grass area and our team will look after them till the end of the service. Please pick them up from the marquee at the end of the adult service. Under Covid regulations we are asking parents not to then re-enter the main building. Please feel free to continue your conversations outside, though!
  • theLaunchPad & thePod (for pre-schoolers) will be open if you need to take your very young ones out of the main service. Unfortunately, we’re not able to staff those rooms yet for a combination of reasons. We do have a live service-feed running in theLanchPad again now, too.
  • The usual KIDS & PRE-SCHOOL VIDEOS are available online at https://www.thebarn.org.uk/church-online/ for those not able to come in person. Faith’s video will ‘go live’ at 10.00 am.

YOUTH

  • This Sunday, we will be holding an OUTDOOR YOUTH MEETING during the main service. Please come along ready for a 10.00 am start and report to the grass area.

WET WEATHER PLANS: If it is raining at 10 am on Sunday, please could the youth report to theBaseCamp and the kids to the marquee, and we'll take it from there! If the youth do end up meeting indoors, they will need to wear face-masks, please.
