MIX 5th Birthday

MIX celebrated its 5^th Birthday on Sunday, 15^th October and what a wonderful afternoon we enjoyed! Over 70 people from all over the area joined together to worship and praise God on our special anniversary. We welcomed Rev. Neil  le Tissier as our guest speaker (Neil having been instrumental in the original inspiration for Mix over 5 years ago). Neil spoke on our ‘Journey with God’ – both personal and as Mix together. With his trusty rucksack he took as his Scripture for the afternoon, Psalm 23:3 ‘He guides me in the right paths as He has promised’, and we thought about how God hears, God guides, God rescues and God provides. Neil ended with a very moving and inspiring video clip of Team Hoyt, reminding us that our amazing Father enables us to do what we could never achieve alone.

We sang together, prayed together and put our footsteps on the road to the cross together; made crafts and did activities together (including flip flop key rings; God’s guiding compass; and a sensory tactile maze!) and we ate a splendid tea together topped off with Faith’s delicious Birthday cake depicting our journey with God together along life’s road, centred on the cross.

God’s provision through the years for our team and for all our Mixers with additional needs and their families, friends and carers has been awesome. We look forward with huge excitement to what God has in store for us as we journey onwards with Him.
