Our Senior Pastor, Jamie Cox, is now back from sabbatical, and this Sunday, Sept 2, he will be starting a new teaching series called 'It is Well with My Soul.'
September is a great time to press pause and consider how you're doing. You're most of the way through the year ... summer has been different, but busy ... and for many, your kids are just going back to school. In the face of all that, what is going on deep inside your soul? Is all well? Is it time for reflection? A tune-up? A re-launch?
The Apostle John wrote, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2). In other words, the overall state of your life is directly tied to the health of your soul. Are you healthy and happy? Stable and well-balanced? Confident and content? Or, if you're honest are you struggling right now? Perhaps unsettled, empty or insecure? The gospel is, of course, good news. Jesus died to set you free, make you whole, forgive past, change your thinking and dig truth deep. We really want to you to be able to say, as the old hymn goes, “When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrow like sea billows roll, whatever my lot You have taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul!”
We hope you'll be able to join us for at least part of this series, before we return to the 'Year of the New Testament' at the end of the month.
