Reflections from a great weekend!

Posted Wednesday 16th September 2015

This weekend (11-13 Sept) we celebrated the church’s 10th anniversary. We are so grateful for all God has done, from the launch back in the Crawford Hall, to the move into theBarn, right up to the present day. For every soul saved, every life transformed, every believer baptised, every sick person healed, every person who has been involved and given and served, we are very grateful!

On Friday night, we launched a new regional youth service called Relentless. It was amazing to see so many teenagers gathered, and there was definitely a party atmosphere in theBarn. The band were buzzing, the lights were fizzing and our guest speaker, Hannah Neill from Tearfund brought a timely and thought-provoking message.

On Saturday, we hosted two kids parties, 3-7 and 7-11, featuring a bouncy castle, dance-off, chocolate fountain and other such treats, enjoyed by kids and parents alike! (See mildly embarrassing Gangnam Style Facebook videos!) But the culmination of both parties was a time of family worship in our newly refurbished kids room. It’s always great to see parents and children enjoying the presence of the Lord together.

On Sunday evening, we were delighted to welcome our friends from across the Cornerstone network to join us for a birthday celebration. Once the tea and cakes had been appreciated, we had a wonderful service of worship and thanksgiving. Very much the highlight was the message of encouragement that Phil Deller, Senior Pastor at Chipping Campden, whose original vision sparked our church, brought to us all.

So, all in all, a really successful, enjoyable, if tiring weekend. And now we look forward to the next step in our adventure …
